Llama Bar is one of the most cosmopolitan bars in Subiaco. Sure, there's an element of 'beautiful people syndrome' simmering within, but really, any martini lover will be content here, swooning over the creative drinks list. Try a luscious lime and vanilla daiquiri, or perhaps a 'red fairy', which blends Bacardi Limon together with absinthe, lemon and fresh strawberries. Polished guests perch on bar stools, sipping their cocktails and knocking back vodka shots infused with flavours such as wasabi and raspberry.
Those feeling peckish can indulge in share plates, such as seared scallop and chorizo, crispy pork belly, and tempura soft shell crab. But if you have your heart set on the joy that only a porterhouse steak can bring, Llama Bar is the place to be on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Make sure you reserve your place in advance though - the place is often fully booked out by Subiaco's most devoted steak-lovers. Live bands spill funk and jazz tunes on Wednesday and Friday nights, and DJs take over until late on weekends, with a live saxophone and bongos joining the DJ mix on Fridays. Love hunters, take note: speed dating often pops up as a special event and it's always popular, so be sure to keep your ear to the ground.
